Warm Welcomes
At Veslefrikk FUS Kindergarten, your child is greeted by warm, present, and engaged adults who are passionate about creating a safe, playful, and developmental everyday life for our children. We listen, support, laugh, and wonder together with the children, and we meet everyone with a smile and a friendly “hello.”
Outdoors All Year Round
Our kindergarten is beautifully located in Lierbyen, close to Hegg School and great hiking opportunities. We regularly explore the local area, and with our own minibus, we love going on trips a little further away. The children get to explore, climb, wonder, find treasures, and create magical moments outdoors – in all kinds of weather. We also have good bus connections to Oslo and Drammen.
Play, Language, and Community
With us, all learning happens through play. Our method, Child First, helps us adults to see, listen to, and acknowledge every child. Facilitating friendships and helping children learn how to maintain them is one of our top priorities. We embrace diversity and openness, and we use play to develop language and create a sense of belonging, mastery, and security. We want children to look forward to coming to us – and that means it has to be fun! Is it a slimy stick or a magical wand?
Food and Mealtimes
We are a full-service kindergarten, and the children are served breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon meal every day. Our mealtimes are calm, pleasant moments filled with good conversations and lots of humor. Healthy and tasty food gives energy for play, curiosity, and movement.
The First Days – Together With You
Some children need a little extra security in the beginning, so we also take time to get to know you and your child. The adaptation period is tailored to each child, and we work closely with you to ensure calmness, predictability, and closeness during the start.
